How We Save 150 Work Hours a Month with One Automation
It’s probably the smartest decision we made this year.
As the owners of an SEO and AEO agency with a full team of writers, editors and SEO specialists who all work hard to ship hundreds of pieces of content a month, there’s one thing we learned over time: even when you have a very strong, talented team under you, they never have enough time.
Let’s be real. Nobody writes content from scratch anymore. Everyone uses AI today. Even the best copywriters. We used AI for this post too.
What many people miss is that the problem isn’t the writing itself. It’s everything that comes before and after it.
The problem we all know
Our team spent hours on every article: receive the brief, pass it to the content department, check what the AI produced, go through it paragraph by paragraph, check whether it actually matches what the client asked for, rewrite, add tables, insert lists, turn part of the content into dialogue so it feels human, rebuild the intro, send it back to the editor, review again, add a summary and a Q&A, make sure everything meets the SEO guidelines, and then do it all again. And again. And again.
Yes, AI answers fast and writes fast. But if you don’t teach it to write what’s actually needed instead of whatever it feels like, you end up spending hours fixing, rewriting and wasting valuable time.
And when that happens dozens of times a day? Even with a rock-star team, someone eventually burns out. Or everyone does.
So we stopped. And we built a new automation that solved this problem completely.

What does the automation actually do, and how is it built for AI and Google’s latest algorithm changes?
Google doesn’t want to show generic content. AI isn’t impressed by yet another generic “10 Best Tips for XYZ” article either.
The new algorithm (especially since the HCU updates) puts the emphasis on:
- Expertise: in-depth content, not generic
- Clear structure
- User experience (readability, scannability, subheadings, lists, tables)
- A strong push to demote content that looks designed to manipulate the search engine instead of serving users
Alongside Google, AI engines now read our content too. Instead of seeing “just another article,” they pick up on hierarchy, context, clear structure and natural writing.
So how does our automation do all of this?
1. A smart outline based on search intent, not just keywords
It doesn’t just “build a skeleton.” It asks: What does the reader really want to know? What would bring them back to the result? What will make them stay?
2. Breaking the article into sections with clear instructions
- Which intro will introduce the topic naturally (not “forced”)
- Where to add the lists Google likes
- Where to place a table that helps AI make connections and comparisons
- How to build short paragraphs that give a quick answer
- How to brand the business in the best, most natural way throughout the content
3. Enriching the content with subheadings and questions
Both AI and the algorithm read the questions and understand this is content that can appear in direct answers, for example in Featured Snippets (position 0).
4. Keeping the right balance between depth and readability
The days of 500 words just to check a box are over. You need to add value, without rambling for no reason.
5. Building in a human tone of voice
The content should feel like someone wrote it specifically for the reader. Because that’s exactly what search engines want (and, obviously, what readers want today).
6. Publishing the content automatically
The automation doesn’t just write. Within a single scenario, it either uploads the content to the site with headings, images, metadata, links and SEO, or saves a ready draft in Markdown to the client’s folder for their approval.
The results we got
We save 150 work hours every month.
And that’s just one automation out of dozens that run at our agency all the time.
Why does this matter now?
Because we live in a time that rewards 100% efficiency.
Automation and AI aren’t just buzzwords anymore. They’re not a nice-to-have. They’re a MUST-have.
If you feel like your business is stuck in a loop of small tasks, maybe it’s time to stop and ask: How do I turn my time into a force multiplier? How do I get LEVERAGE without hiring more people?
